The emergence of Technology as a ubiquitous platform for innovations has laid the foundation for the rapid growth of the Information. The 3rd International Conference on Information and Communications Technology 2020 (3rd ICOIACT 2020) will be conducted as a virtual conference (online) from 24 to 25 November 2020.
The purpose of the 3rd ICOIACT 2020 is to promote discussion and interaction among academics, researchers and professionals in the field of Technologies and Information Engineering.
This conference provides an international forum for the presentation and showcase of recent advances on various aspects of ubiquitous technology. It will reflect the state-of-the-art of the methods, involving theory, algorithm, numerical simulation, error and uncertainty analysis and/or novel application of new processing techniques in engineering, science, and other disciplines related to ubiquitous computing. In this conference, several topics on the specific themes for intensive discussions are also planned according to the areas of interest. The 3rd ICOIACT 2020 will include presentations of contributed papers.

Papers from the previous ICOIACT 2018 until 2019 have been published in IEEE Xplore and indexed in Scopus:

  • Grab may be the largest taxi company in the world but without a single taxi. On the same note, Ali Baba may be the world’s largest mall but without business premises. Subscribing to these ideas, most organization tries to remain lean but with more businesses, that is, by extensively exploiting IR4.0 related technology. Rather than hiring the required expert workers permanently (and putting them on the company’s monthly payload), most organizations favor outsourcing their work elsewhere to other pools of available experts across the globe. The challenge here is how to form a team for a particular task when there are millions of experts worldwide. Often, the selection of these experts (i.e. team formation) can be painstakingly difficult as they may be cross-organizational as well as geographically distributed and with different costs and requirements. This talk will discuss on how to deal with the (distributed) team formation problem as optimization problem. More precisely, this talk will highlight the current state-of-the-arts on addressing the team formation problem based on meta-heuristic and hyper-heuristic algorithms.

Our hearts go to all the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic that is still hitting around the world. Due to the pandemic, all flights from within and outside the country are restricted and some areas are restricted from entry. That way it is absolutely impossible to run a major event offline. Therefore, ICOIACT 2020 will go virtual.
